I don't think so.

It surely felt different not to be able to talk to each other for few days, when they have been talking to each other and updating each others' lives every single day for the past few weeks.

She has decided to end it. He has decided to suffer inside.

And finally he got the courage to call her up, even though he had promised himself not to.

She answered the phone. They talked for hours just like before, minus the sweet words, future plans and mushy nicknames. When they hung up, both of them were happy. One situation.

She was happy that finally he moved on and was able to accept the facts that they are now just friends.

He, on the other hand was happy because he was able to hear her voice again, made her laugh again, updated each others' lives, once again. He was happy because he thought he could still win her heart, even if he had to wait for her to be ready.

Different perceptions.

Some pictures of the recent flood that hit Sibu last weekend.
The biggest so far this year. There wasn't much rain, but due to the Rajang River's overflow.
Luckily it has subsided now. Most businesses were badly affected.

sampan. the best ride for this kind of situation.

my apartment. :/

Can't really recall when was the last time I kicked some ball. I think it was months ago, if my memory serves me well. So when my colleagues started to play street soccer at our office's compound, I guess I could try to kick a ball or two. Have to thank the World Cup tho for changing the current sports of these guys back to football. It's all seasonal as I can see it. From badminton to pingpong and thank God it's back to football, the only game that I am fond with and can play wholeheartedly.

Just like how I sprained my heart earlier on, the analogy can be applied almost the same to how I sprained my ankle. Well, it's been awhile since I confessed my feelings to someone, and by overdoing it, I sprained my heart after being rejected. Likewise, dribbling the ball as if I was born for it, after ages of doing so, I stumbled and sprained my ankle in the process.

And I know both incidents may cause me some pain, but I know it will soon be gone and I believe there are no bad experience in life, only lessons. :)

A mighty pain to love it is,
And 'tis a pain that pain to miss;
But of all pains, the greatest pain
It is to love, but love in vain.

Date: 2nd April, 2010
Venue: Studio Cafe, Wangsa Maju
Time: 9pm til the place owner chased us away.

Finally I got the chance of throwing my dream birthday party, people eating whilst listening to performance by my fellow celebrity-friends. I've been meaning to do that since last year and finally it came true this time around. Thanks to Studio Cafe. Even though it's no Planet Hollywood nor Hard Rock, but the ambience of that place pretty much suited my likings. And oh, the food was SCRUMPTIOUS!

I opened up the night with covers from Aizat (Lagu Kita), Neyo (Part of The List), Michael Buble (Havent Met You Yet) and One Republic (Come Home).

Initially there were 3 people agreed to perform on my birthday. But Ilya fell sick at the eleventh hour, and Cheng-cheng couldn't find the minus one for her songs, so I was left with Ema and myself to entertain the guests, which I thought was OK, since the turn ups wasn't that really encouraging.

But to my surprise and delight, Syai came up, and teamed up with Fauzan, Rafiq and 2 of their friends and boom, they conquered the stage, mic and the hearts of many. Superb spontaneous renditions of Careless Whisper and Belaian Jiwa, with powerful voice from Zhafran and great vocal back ups from the rest. I thought to myself, the night is going to be great.

Next up, Lynnz and Zira took the spotlight (which was impromptu as well) and sang Manisnya Senyummu by Elite and their own song, Asmara. I somehow wished the 2 third of Senoritas who was also the VIMA 2010 winner for Best Pop Group, sang their Malay cover of 'Wondergirls - Nobody'. Hehe

Next, it was Ema Hashim, the up and rising songwriter-cum-singer, melting the crowd with her sultry voice and smooth guitar playing. Her rendition of Use Somebody was definitely my favorite. And the audience also got the chance to hear her own number.

Syai took up the mic, singing Gigi's Terbang before Lokman finally gave up to the constant pressure from Elen and me and went up to the stage. Frankly speaking I'd never thought he would. I've always been a fan of him since the One In A Million and his single 'Namun Engkau Tahu' is one of the best! Lokman sportingly took the guitar and sang L.O.V.E and his own song called 'Perempuan', drooling the ladies in the crowd.

And the surprise of the night surely came in a small package. Siti Sarah, my childhood friend came to the party, despite being late, and went up to the stage and sang Happy Birthday song to me, in her own style. :)

All in all, I had a FABULOUS time and would like to thank all of you who came. Thanks for the presents, the well wishers and ultimately to all the performers. YOU GUYS ARE THE GREATEST :)

Betul la orang ckp the best plan is no plan at all.

Aku plan pergi KK wknd ni (semalam dan harini) just nak pergi pool party yg si Erfie organize, and the rest of it aku just biarkan je as I'm pretty much ok with anything.

So semalam sampai-sampai KK terus check in hotel (walaupun tunggu berejam utk tunggu bilik siap dihousekeeping), then gerak One Borneo, tengok Alvin, Cado, Luscious perform utk Muzik.fm road tour ape tah (aku tak denga muzik.fm to tak kenal DJ-DJ dorang), and mereka mereka ini adalah penyanyi yg super hebat, especially Alvin. Cayalah bah. Buli ba kalau kau.

Then mlm terus pergi pool party tu. Walaupun attendance agak tak memberangsangkan, tp the food, drinks, music were great. Pas pool party, gerak karaoke sampai pukul 2.30pagi. Sampai tekak nak terkeluar ikut idung. But it was equally fun la.

Sunday, bgn awal. Plan arini nak pergi pulau. Mandi dan snorkeling. Dan ambil gambar. Uyeah.
Pergi 3 pulau. Pulau Manukan, Pulau Mamutik dan Pulau Sulug. First time snorkeling. Jakun tahap rusa. Tengok ikan macam-macam kaler. Tengok batu karang yang bukan penyakit. Kasi ikan makan. Kene gigit ikan. Nampak ikan muka macam Amy Winehouse. Menarik!

Sampai daratan je baru sedar byk luka2 kecil. Kulit dah pedih sbb berjemur mcm ikan masin. Lapar, then pergi makan seafood super murah dekat Pasar Filipin. Sedap.

Then naik flight pukul 7. Sampai umah. Kemas2, unpack2, check fb, twitter. Blog sikit2.
Esok ah aku upload gamba. Penat.
Then aku tido.

p/s: Terima kasih setinggi Gunung Kinabalu kat Cheng2 yg jadi peneman terbaik di kk. Uyeh

Saturday afternoon.
Felt hungry. Took a shower.
Checked account balance. PAYDAY. Huray.

Packed the car. Planned to have some BigMac.
Listening and singing along to the radio.
Kris Allen's No Boundaries.

"So heree I ammm still holding onnn"

Driving 60km/j.

''They take youu by the haanddd and showw yo.."

*Oh, a small divider up front. Gotta swerve to the right. Easy.

Suddenly. BANG!

*Shit, i hit that divider! No, I ran thru it!

Kept on driving. Shut up Kris.
Turned the radio off.
Nothing peculiar. Should be ok.
Ah, MCD.

Searched for parking space. GODAMNIT. No freaking parking space!
Wait, something is wrong with my front left tyre. The one that hit the divider.
It's groggy and bumpy.
Not good. Gotta check.
Got down from car.

SHEEP! PANCIT!
Panic attack. Who to call?

Called Dahari.
"Sorry, I'm at the hair salon now, will call you back soonest"
-_-"

Called Jose
"Hey I'm with my boss now, sorry can't help"
-___-"

Called Romi
"Serious dude? OK wait up. Will be there in secs"

Phew. Checked my tires again. WHAAT? BOTH LEFT TIRES FRONT AND BACK NOW?
WTF (*&^$^*()*(^$%#^#$*%%$##!!
And my RIM! All scratched. T_T

Romi arrived. Went to the Tire Shop. Brought along the guy, bought two tires, RM200 each.
Sent the guy to the workshop. Ended up eating KFC.

RM200 + RM200 (Two Silverstone tires) + RM20 (workmanship) + RM30 (KFC, treating Romi and his girl friend). -_____-"

p/s: Lucky me it happened on Saturday. I didnt have enough cash if it were to happen on Friday, and all the shops are closed on Sunday. But still. Budget lari woo. *Cries.

tayar belakang.

tayar depan. T_T

nasib baik Romi ada.

80km/j max. u serious?

So here how it started.

Healvia was in town.
As a good host, I picked her at the hotel, and sent her to Maybank as she wanted to do some transactions.

And later we went for an early dinner.
Well since she said that she wanted something Sarawakian-ish, I brought her to Rafie Cafe, and we had Nasi Ayam Penyet, eventho Nasi Ayam Penyet is Indonesian.

nyummy

Then we went to the shopping mall, just for sightseeing even tho I knew there's nothing much to be seen there. As we walked pass a hair saloon, Heal felt like washing her hair and she said it was way cheaper here compared to KL (duh) and I wanted to get my hair cut as well, so why not. Well the hair saloon was not the one that I always go to, but I can't seem to remember why it wasn't one of my favorites. So yeah, Heal got her hair washed, and I was getting my hair cut.

that damned hair saloon. i swear i wont set foot again to this saloon -_-

15 mins later, Heal was all smile as they did her hair pretty nicely. While myself disgruntling in silence upon seeing my new haircut. I didn't like it very much. I looked like a school kid, or rather like a Penan guy. Urgh

her hair is cantik. urgh

last pic of my hair. gonna miss you, hair :)

After sending Heal back to her hotel, I spent tens of minutes in front of the mirror, swearing and cursing. At first I said to myself, hair will grow, and I can just wait for another 2 weeks and things will be back to normal.

But being drastic as I am, the next day I went to the cheaper barbershop and got my hair chopped for RM5. Guess I'm gonna save a lot of money for my hair wax and save a lot of time in the morning setting my hair up. :D

So who's drastic? I AM drastic :p

girl on MSN: hey Faliq

me on MSN: eh. whoa it's you! it's been centuries!

girl on MSN: haha yeah tell me about it. how are you

me on MSN: great, great. i'm surviving.

20 mins later..

girl on MSN: haha yeah. hey, i think i gotta go now.

me on MSN: ah cool. so ur still using ur old number right?

girl on MSN: erm. i think let's stick to MSN

me on MSN: er, why?

girl on MSN: i think it's a bad idea for me to be in touch with a guy friend thru the phone. my bf wouldn't like that idea very much.

me:

WHAAAAATTT?

ok that just proves my point that SOME PEOPLE WERE WAY MORE FUN BEFORE THEY GOT INTO RELATIONSHIP. -____-"

Ahad. 4 Oktober.

Bangun pukul 12tghari. Tipikal.
Check facebook dulu. Tipikal.
Tunggu setengah jam baru mandi. Tipikal.

Ingat balik today's to-do-list.
1. Hantar laundry.
2. Isi minyak.
3. Buang sampah.
4. Beli ridsect, contact lens solution dengan air mineral 2 botol.
5. Balik dari outing, nak basuh kasut yang dah kotor.

Settle mandi. Start enjin kereta, bawak sampah sekali. Buang terus, isi minyak. No. 2 & 3 done.
Angin kuat. Pokok semua goyang stok nak tumbang.
Teringat plak Ketsana typhoon dkat Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Kemboja.
Uish. Ngeri.

Hantar laundry. Ingat nak lunch dekat Rafie Cafe. Tutup plak. Hampeh.
Pegi Wisma Sanyan terus. Beratur kat KFC. Sesak. Hari Ahad kan.
So ingat nak tapau je.

Tetibe mata tertangkap awek comel. Baby-T, hot pants.
Die usha balik. Muka Ibanese or Melanau. Comel. Lagi sekali aku emphasize.

Cashier KFC: Hello Selamat Petang. Makan sini atau bawa balik?
Aku: Makan sini.

Jeling2 lagi awek hot beratur kat line sebelah. Dapat meal, duduk kat corner, view memang luas.
Tup sorang lagi awek masuk dengan adik2 dia. Muka Melayu.
Ok ini semakin menarik.

Table sebelah dipenuhi amoi-amoi seksi. Muka dalam 15, 16 camtu
Dressing? Semua stok nampak peha beb. So bukan stakat peha KFC, peha amoi pun aku jamu arini. Shit this sounds wrong.

Eh, awek Iban tadi dah duduk. Datang plak boyfriend dia. Stok badan cam pelakon iklan Shieldtox. Hampa.

Tapi kepala otak dok pikir. Mane awek-awek hot ni datang? Selama ni kemain takde, tibe-tibe hari ni melimpah ruah plak awek cun kat Sibu ni. Aku rasa mesti sbab angin kuat pagi tadi. So angin tu tiup semua awek awek cun keluar rumah, and pegi Wisma Sanyan.

Terima kasih angin.

Habis makan, beli solution, beli mineral water.
Cuci mata sikit lagi, then plan nak round satu mall before chow.
15 minit kemudian, settle round satu mall. (Jgn gelak, mall kat sini kecik tahap toncet).

Pegi parking lot. Masuk kete. Bayar parking kat counter.
2 jam aku kat sini. Hulur tiket. Tet tet tet.
RM1.60.

Best kan sejam RM0.80. Mane nak dapat kat KL.
Toilet pun RM2.

Sampai rumah, layan winning eleven. Layan MTV. Tertido sampai pukul 7.
Tipikal.

Plan number 5, nak basuh kasut: Postpone.
Tipikal.

:)

cherish your old man.
you'll never know when u might lose him.
take everyday as the father's day and show and tell him how much u love him.

because u'll never know it might be your last chance to say it
:)

i think i hate my new point-and-shoot camera. it takes BAD pictures, like really bad.
i kinda miss my old Nikon Coolpix S52. that was the most awesome digital camera ever.

and so i thought by buying another Nikon Coolpix, but a different range of model, it would be just the same, standing at the same par, or better since it;s touch screen.

but i was wrong.

i dont know what to do now.
should i live with it, or find a buyer and buy the Nikon Coolpix S52 so that we can be reunited back.

haih

Interesting much, one day is the day of bad luck, and the next is the day of love. Ain't it intriguing how it all changes in the matter of 24 hours? Lol.

But i believe people are just making reasons for what they believe. They will tend to be extra-careful on the Friday the 13th, and extra romantic on the Valentine's Day, whereas i guess those two are just like the other ordinary days for me :p

Heck, my Friday the 13th went quite well for me. Reached KL at 4.15pm, went straight home and prepared myself for the night.

The night started with some catching-ups with my lovely cousins, Shazmynn and Nazira at Quattro, Winter Bar. It was kinda cold in there and the crew told me it would get colder later. And they've got all their crew cladding in those trenchcoats, gloves and all the attire worn by the fricking Russians during winter. Cool huh? Like literally.

After a few drinks, I've bid my goodbye and left for Rainforest Borneo as Jane and Diera were already waiting for me there.

(Oh by the way, take a look at the picture and do you agree how fat and tanned i am now? urgh)

Federal Highway. 10.03pm. Friday night. Massive traffic jam. Wtf?

Reached the place around 10.55pm and joined Jane and her Sarawakian friends at their table. Didnt really feel like drinking so I just ordered a glass of Coke and some fries as I was starving. :)

First time at that place, first time meeting Jane and friends, but was already having so much fun. The band was awesome, and so was the crowd. But the spoiler of the night would be the slow songs played by the band towards the end, with songs like End of The Road and some Richard Mark's numbers were just depressing. Especially when it was the Valentines Eve and you're single, and surrounded by loving couples, you will surely feel shitty about yourself. Haha.

Nevertheless, the night ended at 3p.m and headed home straight, feeling all lethargic and worn out.

just a few pictures during my monthly visit to Sarikei to conduct my station visits. :)
senja itu

had to get onboard to across the river :p

taking pics while driving is not advicable :)

one of the stations there
